Dry-Brushed Rainbows on my Fingernails

I’ve been wanting to try the dry-brush method on my nails, but I didn’t really have any good ideas for what kind of design I wanted to do.  I had already tried it to make distressed nails, and I liked the look, but I wanted to try something different and lighter.  Then I thought of rainbow nails, and I was set.  For the base I used Orly White Tips, and the purple is Revlon Passion Fruit, the red is OPI Red Lights Ahead…Where?, the orange is China Glaze Orange Knockout, the yellow is Nicole by OPI Hit The Lights, the green is China Glaze In The Lime Light, and the blue is Sinful Colors Why Not.

I love the way this looks, and as it turned out, it was really easy to do.  I just wiped the brush in the polish dry and then painted what was remaining of the color on my nails.  It didn’t have to be perfect, and it went really fast.  I got loads of compliments on this mani, and I am definitely going to do it again!

About sunflowerswank

After working all of my life, I retired in June, 2011. I try to use my extra time to rest, exercise, paint my fingernails, play with my 9 cats, spend time with my husband, Al, and cook healthy and lower fat recipies for us to eat. I try to use as many fruits and vegetables in my menus as I can cram in, sometimes to the complaints of the hubs - LOL! I am also making over some of my old favorites to be heathier with more vegetables in them, and less fat.
