Pale Green Stripes and Gold Glitter on my Fingernails

I am still really liking the OPI Gargantuan Green Grape that Al gave me for Valentine’s day, so I used it in another manicure.  I painted my thumb and pointer nails with OPI Gargantuan Green Grape, my middle and ring fingernails with Nicole by OPI Yoga Then Yogurt, and my pinky with Nicole by OPI Not A Gold Bigger.  Then, using the nail polish brush I painted a stripe of green down the middle of the white nails, and a stripe of white down the middle of the green nails.  I topped these stripes and my pinky with the glitter – Nicole by OPI Kissed At Midnight.  The stripes just didn’t look finished, so I used a striping brush to outline each stripe with a thin line of Not A Gold Bigger.  I love how these look, but they took a lot longer than usual.  Which is why I have my “rule” of only doing art on one or two nails, not all of them – lol.

About sunflowerswank

After working all of my life, I retired in June, 2011. I try to use my extra time to rest, exercise, paint my fingernails, play with my 9 cats, spend time with my husband, Al, and cook healthy and lower fat recipies for us to eat. I try to use as many fruits and vegetables in my menus as I can cram in, sometimes to the complaints of the hubs - LOL! I am also making over some of my old favorites to be heathier with more vegetables in them, and less fat.

I agree, outlining the lines makes them look more defined!
