It’s Beginning to Look Like Spring – on my Fingernails

Al gave me a bottle of OPI Gargantuan Green Grape for Valentine’s day, he knows exactly what I want!  I just love this pale green color and so, of course, I had to use it in my very next mani.  I thought that the peachy-pink color of Nicole by OPI Selena would go really well with it, and with such springy colors, I had to get a flower in there, too!  I painted my thumb and middle finger with the Gargantuan Green Grape, and my pointer and pinky fingernails with the Selena.  Then I put some glitter, Maybelline Clearly Spotted, on my pointer and middle nails just to jazz it up a little.  I painted my accent nail with Nicole by OPI Yoga-Then-Yogurt, then I painted on some petals with the Selena and Gargantuan Green Grape.  I put a little dot of Fingerpaints Lemon Sour in the center.  Then I drew the outline of the flower with It’s So Easy Stripe Rite in Black.  I really like this kind of nail art, I don’t have to be very good at it to splotch on some color, and then draw a simple outline over it!

About sunflowerswank

After working all of my life, I retired in June, 2011. I try to use my extra time to rest, exercise, paint my fingernails, play with my 9 cats, spend time with my husband, Al, and cook healthy and lower fat recipies for us to eat. I try to use as many fruits and vegetables in my menus as I can cram in, sometimes to the complaints of the hubs - LOL! I am also making over some of my old favorites to be heathier with more vegetables in them, and less fat.
