Abstract Flower with Blue and Green on my Fingernails

I wanted to try an abstract flower design on my nails, and I also wanted to use my new black and white glitter again, because I really like the way that this glitter looks. So I came up  with this design, and I really like the way that it turned out.  I love the blue and green together and I think that the black and white glitter really gives it the finishing touch.  I painted my thumb and middle finger with OPI Don’t Talk Bach To Me, and my pinky and pointer finger with Essie Bikini So Teeny.  Then I put a swipe of the Maybelline Clearly Spotted glitter down the middle of my pointer and middle fingers.  For the accent Nail I painted it with  Orly White Tips and topped it with one coat of OPI Happy Anniversary.  For the flower I splotched on Essie Bikini So Teeny to about half way up the nail, and then I splotched some OPI Don’t Talk Bach To Me near the cuticle for the center using the brush that’s in the polish.  I used my It’s So Easy Stripe Rite in Black to make the flower petals and the dotted center.  I like this design because I didn’t have to be precise at all, actually, the more casual it looks,  the better.

About sunflowerswank

After working all of my life, I retired in June, 2011. I try to use my extra time to rest, exercise, paint my fingernails, play with my 9 cats, spend time with my husband, Al, and cook healthy and lower fat recipies for us to eat. I try to use as many fruits and vegetables in my menus as I can cram in, sometimes to the complaints of the hubs - LOL! I am also making over some of my old favorites to be heathier with more vegetables in them, and less fat.
