Bright Summer Flowers on my Fingernails

I wanted to try painting flowers on my fingernails, I’ve been seeing them around a lot on the internet.  They were a lot harder than I thought that they would be, I’m glad that I only did them on two nails – four nails, actually, I did both hands the same.  For my thumb and pinky I used Nichole by OPI Purple Yourself Together, for my pointer finger I used  Nichole by OPI Naturally and topped it off with a layer of Kissed At Midnight.  For my accent nails I used OPI My Vampire Is Buff.  Then I did the flowers.  I used the brush in the nail polish and Sinful Colors Hazard, Why Not, and Sugar Sugar; and Revlon Plum Attraction.  Then I added some leaves with China Glaze In The Lime Light and I added a little darker green detail with China Glaze Watermelon Rind and a small dotting tool.  Then with the dotting tool I added centers to the flowers with Nicole by OPI Hit The Lights and Revlon Black Lingerie.  Whew!  That’s 12 different nail polish colors.  I really like the way that these turned out, but I won’t be doing this again for a while.

About sunflowerswank

After working all of my life, I retired in June, 2011. I try to use my extra time to rest, exercise, paint my fingernails, play with my 9 cats, spend time with my husband, Al, and cook healthy and lower fat recipies for us to eat. I try to use as many fruits and vegetables in my menus as I can cram in, sometimes to the complaints of the hubs - LOL! I am also making over some of my old favorites to be heathier with more vegetables in them, and less fat.
