When we went to see the Terra Cotta Warriors at the Asian Art Museum, I wanted my fingernails to at least somewhat reflect the theme of the exhibits that we would see. So when I was talking to Al about what I should do, he said that he thought red and gold were Chinese colors, and I should wear that. So I decided that I would do something similar to a manicure I did a while back, which I really liked. And I like this one even better, I especially like the gold accent nail. I know that these aren’t really Chinese looking, and as it turned out, they actually didn’t end up looking anything at all like the warriors, which were grey.
For my thumb and pinky I used OPI Danke-Shiny Red, my pointer finger is OPI Goldeneye, and for the accent nails I used OPI German-icure and some Butterfly Gold Water Decals from the Born Pretty Store, which I just found out are no longer available. There is a funny reflection on these two nails from the window next to where I took the pictures, it must have been really sunny that day. I also discovered that if I turn the decals over, they are silver! I will use the silver side in a manicure, soon.
