The Impossible Pink – and Purple – Fingernails

So I broke down and bought a couple of the OPI Mariah Cary Liquid Sand nail polishes.  I thought I’d try the pink one first, since it was so pretty, and it had stars in it!  I used The Impossible on my accent nails, and Nicole by OPI Purple Yourself Together on the others.  I’m undecided about the liquid sand polish, it’s so different from any other polish that I have.

Pros:  It’s Beautiful!  I love this color, it’s such a warm, bright, pretty pink!  It goes on easily (with one exception), it has an almost perfect application.  I love the look of the texture and the bits of glitter, I really don’t like cream finish polishes much.  It stays on a long time, and doesn’t chip.  It doesn’t need a top coat, and it has a textured finish.

Cons:  The Stars are almost impossible to fish out.  It took a lot of tries to get even one star to place on my nail.  Then the points of the star stuck up, and caught on everything  until they eventually broke off.  The textured finish needs some getting-used-to.

Luckily, the stars really are “Impossible” to fish out, so I think that the next time I wear this shade, I just won’t have any stars on my nails.  And – the more I wear these Liquid Sand polishes, the more I will get used to the different texture feel on my nails.

About sunflowerswank

After working all of my life, I retired in June, 2011. I try to use my extra time to rest, exercise, paint my fingernails, play with my 9 cats, spend time with my husband, Al, and cook healthy and lower fat recipies for us to eat. I try to use as many fruits and vegetables in my menus as I can cram in, sometimes to the complaints of the hubs - LOL! I am also making over some of my old favorites to be heathier with more vegetables in them, and less fat.
