Let Sleeping Cats Lie

I know that all cats love to sleep, and I think that  my cats love to sleep in the strangest places.  This is one of Charlie’s favorite places to sleep, in the window that faces the street.  I think that he starts out looking at the birds and the traffic and then he just can’t stay awake any more and then he falls asleep.  He always has his feet stuck out from under the shade like this, I think he’s so cute.

Al and I walked past the bed several times before we noticed the little cat foot sticking out from under the covers.  We looked at the paw without waking up the cat, and finally figured out that it was Kerri.  She loves to crawl under the covers and she sleeps here like this several times a week.

And this is a common sight, McKitty and Sherbert cuddled up together, asleep.  They like this chair with a soft pillow on the seat, but in the summer, they also cuddle up in the rocking chair on the back porch, or in a box if there is one on the floor, or really, just about any place that has room for both of them.

About sunflowerswank

After working all of my life, I retired in June, 2011. I try to use my extra time to rest, exercise, paint my fingernails, play with my 9 cats, spend time with my husband, Al, and cook healthy and lower fat recipies for us to eat. I try to use as many fruits and vegetables in my menus as I can cram in, sometimes to the complaints of the hubs - LOL! I am also making over some of my old favorites to be heathier with more vegetables in them, and less fat.

  1. I love finding my sleeping cat in the most random places…the top of the washing machine, the top of my bookshelf…in the shower. They’re so lucky to be able to relax anywhere!

  2. Enjoyed reading this post. Thank you. Jo 🙂
