Stripes on my Fingernails are my Number One Nemesis

My main wardrobe color is black, so most of my tops, pants, jackets, sweaters, tights, shoes, and so on are all black.  Most of the patterned pieces that I have are black with white, or white with black, and sometimes some different shades of grey thrown in.  I really love my wardrobe because everything goes with everything else, and when I buy one new thing, it automatically goes with almost everything else I have.  When I want to add a splash of color, I get a top, or pair of pants, or whatever, in a pattern that is mainly black with accent colors.  So when I wear any color of bright nail polish it always goes with black – LOL!  And when I wear an item with color in it, I try to match or compliment the colors in the pattern.  It works out really well for me, and OCD that I am, I am happy that all of my outfit always “goes” together.

But sometimes I want to have a total monochromatic look, and paint my fingernails in black and grey and white.  I think that this makes for a more elegant look when I have a special occasion.  Al and I went into the bay area to meet some friends for dinner to celebrate my birthday and these are the fingernails that I had then.  I used OPI Skull and Glossbones for the base, then I painted a stripe of OPI Number One Nemesis down the middle of each fingernail, and then edged it with It’s So Easy Stripe Right in Black.  I just got the striping polish from Sally Beauty and I love it, it really is So Easy!
