Funky French Tips, Yeah!

I’ve been wearing bright summer colors on my nails, and hoping that the weather would cooperate and warm up.  And now that it’s starting to get a little warmer, I thought I would try something different.  I’ve been seeing a lot of really cute french tips on the internet, and while I don’t especially like the traditional french tips, I am really liking the funky ones.  I absolutely Love this manicure, I think that it would be perfect for an elegant dress-up occasion.  Now all I have to do is talk Al into taking me to one!

I used OPI Skull & Glossbones for the base, Revlon Black Lingerie for the tips, and Nicole by OPI Not A Gold Bigger for the gold accent which I applied with my dotting tool.

About sunflowerswank

After working all of my life, I retired in June, 2011. I try to use my extra time to rest, exercise, paint my fingernails, play with my 9 cats, spend time with my husband, Al, and cook healthy and lower fat recipies for us to eat. I try to use as many fruits and vegetables in my menus as I can cram in, sometimes to the complaints of the hubs - LOL! I am also making over some of my old favorites to be heathier with more vegetables in them, and less fat.

  1. Oh my gosh how cute! I love the scalloped technique you used. Is it easy to do?

    • Thanks, it’s real easy, just put a drop of polish on a piece of foil and use the head of a pin to dot the polish on your nail. It does take a bit of practice to get the dots the same size.

  2. I love the look! I’ve been getting big into nail art lately.
