Maid Day and Beautiful Winter Weather

Yesterday was maid day, and once again, Al and I ventured forth to do our errands and have lunch.  We bought new light bulbs for the dining room, living room, and bedroom since they all seemed to go out at once.  We were living in darkness, and now there is light – LOL!  Then post office where Al mailed his mom her Christmas present, and then the bank.  Then we went to Target where we looked at just about everything, and bought a bottle of nail polish remover, and Al bought me a Christmas present!  Then the grocery store where we bought a box of cereal and a jug of milk.  Then lunch!

We went to our favorite sandwich shop in town, the Cottonwood Cafe, and were still able to sit outside and eat our lunch.  This patio is so nice, it has a fountain in the middle, and in the summer there are umbrellas over the tables for shade.  We were the only people out there until we were almost finished, then a group of four came out to enjoy the sun.  Sorry, but the drink is iced green tea, not beer!

57 degrees out and sunshine - the perfect winter lunch!

About sunflowerswank

After working all of my life, I retired in June, 2011. I try to use my extra time to rest, exercise, paint my fingernails, play with my 9 cats, spend time with my husband, Al, and cook healthy and lower fat recipies for us to eat. I try to use as many fruits and vegetables in my menus as I can cram in, sometimes to the complaints of the hubs - LOL! I am also making over some of my old favorites to be heathier with more vegetables in them, and less fat.
