Birthday Dinner at Wente Vineyards

Our good friend Ryle and Al both have birthdays in October so we get together at Wente Vineyards in Livermore every year to celebrate. We all love this place and it is halfway between SF and us, so it’s perfect. Here I am, all dressed up and ready to go.

All ready for dinner at Wente Vineyards. It's the end of October and it's 88 degrees out!

We picked Ryle up at BART, and with no traffic on the freeway, made it to the restaurant on time. The nice valet parking guy took our picture.  I think that this one really turned out great.

Ryle LOVES olives, so he ordered an olive appetizer. It had several kinds of olives – some with pits, peanuts, and golden raisins. It also had some kick to it!

For his entree, Al had Heirloom PIG! I didn’t know that pigs even came in heirloom! Look at that pork chop, it’s HUGE and the sandwich I had with the leftovers the next day was delicious.

You can tell that we really had a good time! Thanks, Ryle, for such a great dinner and a great time.  And  I really like that pen, I’m gonna steal it from Al just as soon as I get a chance!

About sunflowerswank

After working all of my life, I retired in June, 2011. I try to use my extra time to rest, exercise, paint my fingernails, play with my 9 cats, spend time with my husband, Al, and cook healthy and lower fat recipies for us to eat. I try to use as many fruits and vegetables in my menus as I can cram in, sometimes to the complaints of the hubs - LOL! I am also making over some of my old favorites to be heathier with more vegetables in them, and less fat.
